Titanic is without doubt one of the most sensational films ever produced.
Kate Winslet starring as Rose de Witt Bukater and Leonardo Di Caprio as Jack Dawson, the film narrates the love story between Jack and Rose, two young lovers, that unfortunately belong to different social classes.
Though they are both in love with each other their circumstances and background will not approve their romance. Rose is belongs to high society and she is ment to marry well, someone of her equal and Jack a person of limited means, he couldn’t possibly live a respectable life.
Rose who at the time she meets Jack is engaged to Caledon Hockley, a rich aristocrat to whom she doesn’t love, sees herself in obligation to fulfill her mother’s wish to marry him , so they can both live a decent life, since they haven’t got a penny for themselves and because women in those times were submitted to men, the only solution possible was to marry well. Rose wished a change in her life, otherwise this one would slowly end up with her, she felt as if it were a prison.
Jack on the other side is free, he isn’t submitted to anyone, he lives for art and art lives for him, until he wins his passage to RMS TITANIC, then his life changes when he sees from far Rose it is on that moment he decides that it doesn’t matter how, he will be with her.
They will both have to overcome the difficulties that life forces them to face and hold on to their strong love, even if at the end one of them passes away, there love story is unique.
