The door that never had to be opened

It was two o’clock in the morning when we decided to go for a walk. After some minutes walking we arrived by chance to the entrance of a terrifying school. We could visualize some light coming out from a room, and it was projecting the shadow of a little girl.
After some seconds of indecision 1 we went to the door and we discovered that it was locked with a chain. Nevertheless, the padlock wasn’t closed so we could open the door and access the school. When we entered the enclosure, we tryied to arrive to the room with the mysteriously light. Inside the building it was utterly dark, although we were using/equipped with a lantern. Suddenly it ran out of battery and we couldn’t see anything. After a few seconds of panic, we could arrive to the room. The light was really thrilling. All of us were absolutely scared 2.
Once we were all inside we discovered a computer turned on. Finally we realized that this the light was produced by the computer screensaver.

1 indecision is correct, but too similar to Spanish. Thus, you'd better use indecisiveness or hesitancy.
2 scared is an ordinary adjective, and "absolutely, completely, utterly, totally..." are adverbs used with EXTREME ADJECTIVES ONLY! So you can either use "really, very, super, hyper, ultra,..." or use an extreme adjective (extreme adj of "scared" is "petrified" or "scared to death")
